Are you getting the following errors message when using Dreamweaver CS4? (Note that it may happen to Dreamweaver Professional 8 and CS3 as well).
The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
_________.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
….
In my case it also generate the following error message when you start and close dreamweaver.
while executing onLoad in RecordsetFind.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occured:
In file “RecordsetFind”:
findRs is not defined
While executing onLoad in TeamAdminTempDelete.html, the following JavaScript error(s) occured:
In file “TeamAdminTempDelete”:
delTempFile is not defined
It turns out that there is something wrong with your Dreamweaver configuration files. It may be caused by file corrupt, or changes in your system.
To solve this you will have to remove the current configuration folders, so that Dreamweaver will generate new one for you. To do that, close your Dreamweaver and go to the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US
Rename the “Configuration” folder in to “Configuration-old”, and then fire up your Dreamweaver.
It should generate the new Configuration folder. Now you might loose your last configuration such as the sidebar width, last used view, etc.
hi, I’m still getting the same error. I followed your instruction but still getting the same issues. Below i have pasted the alert message which i’m getting when i attempt to save my dreamweaver page
while executing onLoad in TeamAdminTempDelete.html, the following javaScript error(s) occured:
In file “TeamAdminTempDelete”;
delTempFile is not defined
Please help me.
Hi Arun, What’s your operating system? If you are using MAC OS and dreamweaver CS4 you can try the following tutorial from adobe
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405911.html
If you are using Windows and have deleted the configuration file but still having the same problem, that’s strange. The source of problem might not be the same with this guide. Which Dreamweaver version are you using?
Perfect advice!
your suggestion works brilliantly. thank you very much for the advice.
Thanks!!!! it works ๐
it worked! thanks!
Perfect. Works great. thanks
I have the same situation. Any suggestions, I have deleted the cache file already.
Thank you, worked like a charm, for me it was renaming the Configuration folder to something else and voilรก ๐
Thank a lot that work.
why i don’t see this in my computer T-T
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US
Hi Cheer,
first of all is your PC run on windows?
Secondly, You should replace “YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME” with your user name in windows.
i use window xp sp 3
dreamweaver cs4 master collection
folder “Application Data” don’t appear in my
C:\Documents and Settings\cheer
T-T
Hi Cheer,
okay it might be because you haven’t set the windows explorer to display hidden files ( Application Data folder is a hidden folder).
In your windows explorer toolbar, choose Tools -> Folder Options -> View tab. Now in advanced settings “Hidden files and folders” set it to “Show hidden files, folders and drives”. That should deal your problem ๐
Thank you so much!! I ended up finding another site the also recommended moving the custom folders from the old config folder… between your two suggestions I’m back in business!
The other way going to that folder is by going to
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\en_US

Hello. I have os Windows 7 /64 bit and just recently started to receive such errors and more. Is this due to Java updates. I did as instructed but when restarting DW cs4 “no new configuration ” file folder was created. Errors continue to exist

Thank you! I was expecting something complicated (like re-installing Dreamweaver), or that by re-creating the configuration, I’d also have to re-enter all the info on all the sites I manage. Nope, it fixed the error, and so far, all my settings seem the same!
